"In theory I am now retired, after many years as conductor and teacher,but I play in two chamber orchestras, either on one of your violins or on a viola of yours. I don't know how much longer I shall be able to do so, but I console myself with the thought that I shall leave my children two beautiful instruments that have given me enormous satisfaction. I love my visits to your atelier, and admire the quality of your woods and your workmanship.
